When she’s not on the road, you’ll likely find her singing with Melbourne Indie Voices, discovering new live music, or championing independent film and the arts.
As a self-professed man with ‘ants in his pants’, it’s only fitting that Jason’s role at DPA sees him travelling around QLD and Northern NSW building positive relationships with customers, learning about their exciting off-grid projects and generally understanding what it is the market wants from DPA’s suite of services.
At home, this desire to always be on the go sees Jason keeping busy in his main role as ‘family man’, turning his hand to most sports including cricket, golf, snooker, biking or going more off grid with camping, hiking and generally anything adventurous.
Jason brings this zest for life and new experiences to what he does to DPA and understands how to reward a hard day’s work with an ice-cold beer!
One of DPA’s more recent recruits, Derick’s history in the energy wholesale space long predates this with over 20 years working within the renewable energy industry countrywide. At DPA, Derick works hand-in-glove with electrical wholesalers around Australia waving the DPA flag, creating awareness of the broad range of brands DPA distributes and supporting the sales process through design and quotes.
Like many of the team, Derick has a unique passion outside of work and can be found in his shed making pens on a lathe. An old-school technique, Derick lovingly crafts pens from Australian timbers and resin, even extending his hand to keyrings, bottle openers and basically anything else the lathe will help create.
Ben joined the DPA team to help with the overall sales, marketing and strategic direction of the company. He is primarily focused on helping the DPA team realise daily improvements and growth opportunities – both personally and across the business as a whole.
Like many of the DPA team, Ben enjoys a hit of golf, bike riding around the lush trails of the Sapphire Coast and enjoying taking his foot off the pedal with his family.
A lot of what DPA customers see, has been created by the deft hands of Dan. From managing the eCommerce store, developing software tools for the internal team or optimising business processes to increase productivity, profitability and customer experience, Dan is behind it.
Outside of work, Dan mixes a bit of professional pleasure in building apps, with some more wholesome activities such as cooking, eating good food, or getting out into nature be that the beach or camping.
Gareth emigrated from across the Tasman some years ago, bringing with him an acute interest in the environment and the way technology plays a role in supporting a more sustainable future. As an engineer, Gareth supports sales staff from his role in DPA’s technology team and gets great enjoyment experimenting with new products.
When he isn’t deep in technical rebuilds and exploration, you’ll find Gareth either cooking or out in the garden.
One of the partners at DPA, David’s passion in supporting actions to address climate change has seen him dedicate his career to renewable technologies and the energy storage industry. At DPA, David leads the technical team to support the sales staff and customers during the design and quoting phase of projects, and to ensure DPA has the best products on offer.
When the work clock stops, David isn’t far from his passion of renewables, working on a custom EV car that he’s lovingly built from the ground up. Or tinkering on woodwork projects in his shed.
With over 16 years in the industry, and a passion for solar energy solutions, Andrew is a highly experienced go-to man when it comes to helping customers with solutions for their Off Grid projects.
Often found on the phone or furiously tapping on his keyboard, the team know that Andrew is deep in solutions mode – ensuring everyone he speaks with gets the best care, understands the ins and outs of their chosen product, and has the support they need to optimally operate their Off Grid solution.
When he’s not at work, Andrew can be found on the bay letting another natural resource – wind – power his passion for sailing!
Richard founded DPA Solar in 2009, with a passion for the industry and in transforming the way energy solutions can influence people’s homes and lives for the better. Whilst ensuring DPA brings the latest technologies, from the most trusted brands to the market, Richard supports the team to make sure they have what they need to make the customer experience a positive one. You’ll find him engaging with customers and suppliers, and learning firsthand how to continuously improve the way DPA shows up.
When he takes off his Managing Director hat, you’ll find Richard outdoors. A walk in the local area; riding to the market, a hit of golf or escaping to the Grampians for some fresh country air. You may also hear his voice emanating from the MCG as he cheers on his beloved Magpies during the AFL season!
Most customers of DPA will have spoken with Diana and know that she is dedicated to ensuring that every customer interaction is handled with efficiency and care. She excels in responding to inquiries and managing orders, overseeing a seamless experience from start to finish. Diana is committed to providing sales support and facilitating smooth onboarding for new customers. She also prepares the company’s monthly price lists and coordinates DPA’s participation in industry events, striving for flawless execution and maximum impact.
Originally from Colombia and now residing in Australia, Diana has a passion for discovering new destinations, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and building connections with people from all walks of life.
Joining DPA in 2022 with over 15 years of industry experience under his belt, Jason is DPA’s Purchasing and Inventory Specialist. With a love for the sector, Jason has a keen eye for new products that come onto the market and how they complement DPA’s existing offer; manages internal sales, purchasing, inventory control and product development. His passion for the sector is evident not only in the way he shows up at work but in how he connects with customers and peers across the industry.
When not at work Jason can be found exercising – basically in any form! From golf, badminton and cricket to football, dog walking and working out at the gym – Jason is anything but a couch potato!
Glyn is DPA’s warehouse mastermind! Everything that is ordered and sent out the door is at the hands of Glyn. Not many of you will see Glyn – he’s a bit like a mythical creature – rarely seen because he’s busily sorting the warehouse, receiving orders, sorting parts, fulfilling packages, managing couriers and getting them out the door to customers in a timely and professional way. It’s almost like it happens by magic!
There always needs to be people in business that keep everyone accountable, making sure the dollars and cents make sense! That is Jane, as DPA’s accounts wizard. Jane spends her time overseeing the accounts and liaising with customers and suppliers, managing a myriad of other finance related tasks and generally being an engaged and active member of the DPA team.
Outside of work, you’ll find Jane buried in a good book. With reading a passion since childhood, Jane enjoys the escapist nature of what a good book can provide and is happy to lose herself in their magic.
Pedro has deep-rooted experience as a technical sales rep in the renewables industry. Having worked across WA, SA and NT for his career (the regions he currently represents for DPA). Pedro started as an off-grid installer in 1999 with Rainbow Power Company, delivering small-scale renewable energy systems using PV, micro-Hydro, and small wind turbine technologies. Today he helps customers find solutions to often complex energy requirements.
Pedro gets out of bed for the excitement of the rapidly changing energy storage environment – passionate about supplying a normal home with independent renewable power at an affordable price, with a view to fundamentally changing the way societies are powered.
Outside of work, Pedro can be found with a bow and arrow in hand as an avid Archer! Similar to how he applies himself to his job, the thing he loves most about this activity is the finesse required to really execute a great shot!
